About me and this blog

Hello World :-)

My name is Nina Kreyer and in August I'll be joining 10 colleagues from all over the world to work as part of the IBM Corporate Service Corps in Jamnagar (India).

In this blog I'll talk more about my experiences while preparing for the programme as well as giving regular updates during our time in India.

Some background on the CSC programme: IBM’s Corporate Service Corps (CSC) gives employees the chance to make a real contribution within a developing country while also enhancing their business experience. Employees leave their ‘day jobs’ and spend four weeks immersed in another part of the world, having already spent some time on pre-assignment preparation and will then take part in some post-work activities to share their experience with others. Over the past five years, nearly 1,700 employees have participated in the CSC. If you'd like to find out more about the CSC, here's the link.

Who am I?
I'm 29 years old (ok - with some experience... ;-) and live and work in the UK (although I currently work in Dublin during the week). Following my studies and initial work experience in Augsburg, Germany, I joined IBM UK in 2006 as a strategy & transformation consultant, focussing on organisation & people. I enjoy meeting with friends, cooking, arts & literature as well as travelling.

And of course,  all of the views in this blog are my own.
